King Abdullah II and Bahrain Monarch Discuss Regional Tensions

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Sunday, during which they discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, the two leaders emphasised the need to achieve comprehensive de-escalation in order to restore security and stability to the region, underscoring their rejection of Iran's aggression against the two countries and a number of other Arab states.

His Majesty King Abdullah II also stressed the importance of putting an end to Israel's ongoing aggression against Palestinians in the West Bank, warning against the situation in the region being exploited as a pretext in order to impose new facts on the ground in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
