New York:King Abdullah II held a series of discussions with international leaders during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Jordan News Agency, the King conducted separate meetings with Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Bulgaria's President Iliana Iotova, Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama, Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney, Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St¸re, and Barbados' Prime Minister Mia Mottley.
Additionally, the King had a meeting with the Netherlands' Prime Minister Rob Jetten, with Queen Rania Al Abdullah also in attendance. These discussions included Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and focused on enhancing relations and cooperation between Jordan and these nations.
King Abdullah II highlighted the risks of regional conflict on global stability and urged the international community to work towards an agreement ensuring the security of Arab states. He stressed the importance of implementing the agreement to end the conflict in Gaza, stopping attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, and respecting Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
The talks also addressed Israel's actions in Syria and Lebanon, with the King reiterating Jordan's commitment to the security and sovereignty of these countries. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, along with Alaa Batayneh, Director of the Office of His Majesty, were present at the meetings.
