Doha: His Majesty King Abdullah II in Doha on Monday met with Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Lebanon President Gen. Joseph Aoun, Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meetings, held on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, focused on the importance of maintaining coordination between Arab and Muslim states regarding regional developments. The discussions emphasized the need to enhance efforts to achieve stability in the region, preserve the security of states, and guarantee their sovereignty.
The leaders addressed the Israeli aggression on Qatar, expressing condemnation of the aggression and solidarity with Qatar. Support for Qatar's efforts to maintain security, stability, and sovereignty was a key point of agreement among the participants.
His Majesty urged for an end to the conflict in Gaza and called for the unimpeded flow of sufficient humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip. He reiterated Jordan's firm opposition to Israeli plans to displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as any attempts to annex land.
The meetings also highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the participating countries, with discussions on Jordan's readiness to expand cooperation across various fields. Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh were present during the meetings.
