Irbid: King Abdullah University Hospital and the embassy of the Czech Republic Sunday signed the third phase agreement of a medical equipment grant, part of the European country's Middle East Reconstruction Program 2022-2024. The agreement, inked by the hospital's Director General Khaldoun Bashaireh and Czech Charge d'Affaires Sylva Pavlasova, includes rehabilitation of the Maternity and gynecology ward, the neonatal intensive care unit, the intensive care unit, and the patient departments. According to Jordan News Agency, the generous Czech donation will raise the level of health services in the hospital. Bashaireh highlighted the significance of this support, noting its impact on enhancing the hospital's capabilities. Pavlasova commended the hospital for providing optimal health services to citizens, stressing the Czech Republic's keen interest in supporting the health sector in Jordan. The key goal of the Czech grant is to improve the quality of health services, expand the hospital's capacity, and help i t accommodate to an increasing flow of patients, especially in the maternity care, gynecology, and pediatrics wards. This initiative is expected to significantly benefit the community by ensuring better access to essential medical services.
