King and Iraq President Discuss Regional De-escalation Efforts

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Iraq President Abdul Latif Rashid on Wednesday, during which they discussed ways to support de-escalation efforts in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, a royal court statement indicated that His Majesty called for stepping up Arab efforts to stabilize the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The King emphasized the need to work effectively with the international community to stop the war on Gaza and to achieve comprehensive calm in the region.

The King also cautioned about the potential consequences of escalations in the West Bank and Jerusalem, which could impact the security and stability of the region, as mentioned in the statement.
