The meeting, held at Slovenia's Presidential Palace, was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. King Abdullah emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in political and economic spheres.
According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah highlighted Slovenia's role in supporting peace and stability efforts in the Middle East within the European Union framework. Discussions included regional developments, where the King stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza, implementing all stages of the agreement to end the conflict, and ensuring the flow of relief aid to alleviate humanitarian suffering in the area.
The leaders also addressed the situation in the West Bank and Gaza, underscoring the need for comprehensive calm and the rejection of settlement building, which they agreed violates international law and hinders peace prospects. President Pirc Musar expressed her commitment to strengthening relations with Jordan, focusing on cooperation in digitalization, green technology, education, and humanitarian efforts.
President Pirc Musar commended Jordan's role in providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza and facilitating aid delivery from Slovenia through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation. She reiterated Slovenia's support for the two-state solution, acknowledging Jordan's efforts towards achieving peace.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Jordan's non-resident Ambassador to Slovenia Mohammad Hindawi.
