King Receives EU Commissioner for Preparedness, Crisis Management, and Equality

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II Sunday received European Commissioner for Preparedness, Crisis Management and Equality Hadja Lahbib.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace focused on the robust partnership between Jordan and the European Union, with both parties expressing a strong desire to enhance cooperation across multiple fields.

During discussions on regional developments, His Majesty emphasized the necessity of an increased international humanitarian effort in Gaza. This comes in the wake of a ceasefire agreement, highlighting the need for adequate aid distribution across the region.

The King also highlighted the urgency of safeguarding Syria's security and supporting its citizens, calling for concerted efforts to restore stability in the country.

Present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas.
