China: His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to China will mark his ninth official trip to the country since ascending the throne, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday. During the visit, the King will engage in discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, focusing on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues. Additionally, the King is set to meet with Premier Li Qiang and the Chair of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Zhao Leji.
According to Jordan News Agency, the King's itinerary includes stops in Shanghai and Shenzhen. Lin Jian emphasized the deep-rooted friendship between Amman and Beijing, highlighting the steady expansion of relations and the "significant achievements" made across various fields. China aims to leverage the summit to build political trust, broaden economic and cultural cooperation, and align on multilateral issues, with the goal of elevating bilateral relations to a new level.
