Labor Ministry Conducts 7,477 Safety Inspections in 2026

Amman: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Directorate conducted 7,477 field visits during the first half of this year, issuing 3,455 warnings and citing 782 non-compliant establishments for labor law violations.

According to Jordan News Agency, officials investigated 74 workplace accidents across various sectors to determine root causes and reinforce preventive measures, as detailed in the directorate's mid-year report. To boost compliance and workplace safety standards, the ministry certified 536 occupational safety officers and approved 197 workplace safety committees across various entities.

During the same period, the directorate handled 69 general safety complaints, 43 reports regarding inadequate workplace safety standards, and 38 notices of work-related injuries and accidents. Ministry staff also provided 13,481 advisory consultations to help businesses meet safety standards.
