Labor Ministry Encourages Regularization of Non-Jordanian Workers’ Status

Baku:The Ministry of Labor has called on non-Jordanian nationals in the Kingdom who entered for reasons other than employment, such as tourism, medical treatment, and education, but are currently working without work permits, to take advantage of a government scheme to regularize their status.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative also applies to domestic workers who have never obtained work permits. The regularization period is open until early December, allowing eligible workers to secure the necessary permits, pay the required fees, and make a one-time payment of JD500 to cover all previous years of residence.

Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Zyoud stated that employers and household heads are encouraged to visit the Ministry of Labor to complete the necessary procedures for issuing work permits to their workers in line with the specified occupations.
