Labor Ministry Refutes Claims of Massive Worker Layoffs in Mafraq

Mafraq: The Ministry of Labor has dismissed recent media reports alleging that a factory in the northeastern governorate of Mafraq had laid off 4,000 workers, asserting that these claims are incorrect.

According to Jordan News Agency, Mohammad Al-Zyoud, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, clarified in a statement that the only financially troubled factory in Mafraq employs 60 workers, all of whom are Jordanian citizens. He emphasized that the ministry has been actively monitoring the situation at the facility for some time to ensure compliance and address any issues that may arise.
