Leaders International has concluded its Digital Avenue project in Jordan, which is financed by the United States Department of State to give Jordanian talents access to the global digital market.

The project supported hundreds of Jordanian youths through building their freelance digital work skills, which can help overcome external challenges, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to their flexibility, according to a statement issued Tuesday by Leaders International, adding that it seeks to involve and employ youth in developing countries with high poverty and unemployment rates.

The statement noted that the project, which commenced on October 2020, trained more than 1,400 people, of whom 500 were equipped with the needed digital work skills to jumpstart their online freelancing careers, and developed 10 digiwork agencies that became able to submit for tenders of large, global projects.

These 10 companies, of which 60 percent are led by women, received training, instructions, and financial and technical support. They managed to create more than 60 job opportunities and make profit of more than $65,000.
