Legal Measures Taken Against Associations, Companies Affiliated with Banned Muslim Brotherhood

Amman: Competent authorities took more legal action against associations tied to the banned Muslim Brotherhood, a source told Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Saturday.

According to Jordan News Agency, an information security company affiliated with the banned group failed to declare its real beneficial owner, violating the law. This breach, along with other violations, led the General Controller of Companies to refer the illegal company to the Public Prosecution.

The Companies Control Department has also taken steps to address financial and legal irregularities. It has requested the Agent of State Litigation to initiate the compulsory liquidation of Dar Al-Sabil Press and Distribution Company. This action is due to the company's financial losses, which have doubled its capital, and its failure to disclose its beneficial owner, fully pay its capital, and deposit its annual budgets.

In addition, an association located in the Ain al-Basha district has opted to disband itself voluntarily. This decision is part of the authorities' broader initiative to monitor and regulate the operations and ownership of associations and companies suspected of having affiliations with the banned group.
