Amman: The 2025 L'Or©al-UNESCO "For Women in Science-International Rising Talents" award has been granted to Mayis Aldughmi in recognition of her scientific distinction and impactful research work.
According to Jordan News Agency, the University of Jordan (UJ) announced that the award reflects Aldughmi's contributions in developing a telerehabilitation program. This program aims to improve sleep quality and overall well-being for patients with Parkinson's disease by providing effective physiotherapy sessions in their homes.
The initiative is among the region's key programs celebrating women researchers from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria for their roles in advancing science and serving society through innovative and impactful studies. The university added that such achievements strengthen its regional and international standing in research and innovation.
