LTRC Unveils New E-Services to Enhance Public Transport Licensing

Amman: The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) announced the launch of the first phase of its electronic passenger transport services through its digital platform. This initial rollout includes 17 services from a planned total of 47, which are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026.

According to Jordan News Agency, this phase was inaugurated under the auspices of the Minister of Transport and LTRC Chairman, Dr. Nidal Qatamin, with LTRC Director General Riyad Kharabsheh also in attendance. This initiative aligns with the commission's strategic policy to achieve digital transformation and service automation. The primary goal is to streamline procedures, reduce time and effort for operators and companies, and ensure the delivery of fast and transparent services.

The first phase introduces 17 integrated e-services designed to automate the renewal of permits for various public transport means, including small public vehicles. The services target a range of transport types such as service, regular, transit, airport, and hotel taxis, alongside travel vehicles, medium and large buses for secondary and main routes, bus rentals, tourist and international transport, private-registered vehicles, school transport, limousines, and office rental vehicles.

In addition to permit services, this phase aims to digitize the renewal process for passenger transport licenses for companies and agencies within the sector. Users can access the platform through the link (eservices.ltrc.gov.jo) using their operator number as the username and a password obtained by visiting LTRC offices in the governorates.

The LTRC emphasized the importance of providing clear and valid documents and maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials. Users are encouraged to employ modern browsers to ensure the platform's stability.
