Major U.S. Stock Indexes Rise, WTI Crude Holds at $57.50

New york: Major U.S. stock indexes rose on Monday, while the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil remained steady at $57.50 per barrel.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 516 points, rising to 46,706 points, an increase of 1.12 percent. The Nasdaq, which focuses on heavy technology stocks, climbed 310 points to 22,990 points, up 1.37 percent. The Standard and Poor's 500 (S and P 500) also rose by approximately 71 points to reach 6,735 points, an increase of 1.07 percent.
