Media Minister visits JRTV, lauds its role in conveying message of the Jordanian state

Minister of State for Media Affairs, Sakher Dudin, said that the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) assumed a key role in conveying and defending the message of the Jordanian state during its first centennial.

In a visit to the Radio and Television Corporation, where he met with the Chairman of its Board of Directors, its General Manager and the directors of directorates on Monday, Dudin added that this institution formed the nation’s audio-visual memory during the past hundred years, and contributed to producing media figures and competencies for a number of media institutions in the Arab world and the world.

“In the heart of every Jordanian citizen, there is a soft spot for the Radio and Television Corporation, which is distinguished by its professionalism and keenness on credibility in publishing news and information, especially with the recent spread of rumors and incorrect news on some social media outlets,” Dudin noted.

Dudin, who is also the government spokesman, stressed that the government is aware of the magnitude of challenges and difficulties that the institution is going through, and will work to overcome them and turn them into opportunities.

The minister was briefed on the institution’s future plans and projects. He also toured the institution’s various facilities and studios.
