A technical partnership meeting for the Mediterranean Basin Reuses project kicked off Tuesday in the Dead Sea.

The three-day meeting is organized by the Ministry of Local Administration through its waste department.

Jordan, along with partners in Spain, Italy, and Tunisia, has demonstrated “outstanding” waste management experience by developing clear plans that keep pace with global environmental conservation practices, according to a ministry statement.

The purpose of the meeting is to highlight international efforts and share expertise with partners in order to stay on track with waste management and use the best and most up-to-date practices.

The municipalities of Jordan’s Dair Alla, Italy’s Capannori, Spain’s Cordoba, and Tunisia’s Sakiet Ezzit highlighted their experiences and discussed the project’s development in the next six months, which is designed to include the reuse of food, clothes and electric tools.
