Amman: Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani highlighted Jordan's regional and international influence, attributing it to the Kingdom's balanced and prudent policies under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. Momani emphasized that Jordan's approach is rooted in wisdom and moderation in addressing regional and global issues.
According to Jordan News Agency, during a meeting with a British media delegation visiting under a Jordan Tourism Board program, Momani described Jordan as a voice of reason and dialogue in the region, consistently advocating for peaceful solutions and understanding among nations. He stated that Jordan's objective and balanced foreign policy has garnered international respect and reinforced its image as a nation promoting stability and peace amidst regional challenges.
Momani underscored the importance of engaging with international media to accurately portray Jordan's image, noting that such interactions help highlight the Kingdom's regional role and open new avenues for cooperation in media and tourism. On the Palestinian issue, he reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on establishing an independent Palestinian state. He stressed His Majesty's consistent defense of Palestinian rights in international forums and warned that denying these rights only prolongs the conflict.
Addressing the situation in Gaza, Momani stated that Jordan is exerting all efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and support international initiatives to halt aggression, highlighting the Kingdom's humanitarian and moral responsibility toward its brethren. On domestic matters, the minister outlined Jordan's political, economic, and administrative reform efforts, which are part of the royal vision to build a modern state that empowers youth, promotes entrepreneurship, and enhances the participation of women and young people in public life.
At the conclusion of the meeting, members of the British media delegation praised Jordan's open policy and constructive regional role in promoting security, stability, and dialogue.
