Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, met on September 25, 2024, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf. The meeting discussed issues of common interest in light of the fraternal ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, as well as the close relations between the two leaders, whereby Minister Abdelatty conveyed greetings from His Excellency President El-Sisi to his brother His Excellency President Ismail Omar Guelleh. He also affirmed aspiration to continue striving towards advancing relations between the two countries in various fields in a manner that serves their common interests, and reflects the political will of both leaders in this regard. The meeting also discussed developments in the Horn of Africa, Sudan, and Somalia, as well as developments of the situation in Gaza, in addition to the unjustified Israeli escalation to draw the region into a regional war.
