Minister Reviews Progress on Ma’an Military Hospital and Clinics Project

Ma'an: Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abu Samen conducted an on-site evaluation of the ongoing development of the Ma'an Military Hospital and the outpatient clinics and blood bank at the Ma'an Government Hospital. The visit underscores the government's commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Ma'an Military Hospital project, which is 82 percent complete, is a royal initiative aimed at providing advanced medical services to Ma'an Governorate. The facility, constructed over 30,000 square meters, will have 150 beds spread over four floors and two basement levels, with a total investment of JD 35 million. Accompanied by Ma'an Governor Khaled Hajjaj and Director of the Royal Medical Services Brigadier General Sahl Hamouri, Minister Abu Samen emphasized the project's strategic importance and urged adherence to the construction timetable to avoid delays in service delivery.

In addition to reviewing the military hospital, Abu Samen inspected the progress of the outpatient clinics and blood bank project at Ma'an Government Hospital. This project, which is 77 percent complete, is being developed at a cost of JD 3.5 million and covers 5,154 square meters. It includes numerous specialized clinics and medical facilities aimed at improving the diagnostic and therapeutic services available to the community. The minister reiterated the necessity for timely completion to ensure enhanced healthcare access for both citizens and military personnel.
