Amman: Minister of Transport and Labor, Dr. Nidal Qatamin, chaired a crucial meeting of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Steering Committee on Thursday, bringing together key government officials and representatives to discuss the advancement of the nation's public transportation system.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting saw participation from Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abulsamen, Minister of Finance, Dr. Abdul Hakim Shibli, Minister of Investment, Dr. Tariq Abu Ghazaleh, and representatives from the Greater Amman Municipality among other relevant bodies. The discussions primarily focused on monitoring the progress of the BRT project, including its implementation and operational phases. The committee also reviewed procedures aimed at developing the project's infrastructure and enhancing services for the citizens.
The overarching goal of the meeting was to enhance the efficiency of Jordan's transportation system and to promote a greater reliance on public transport.
