Amman: Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Momani, emphasized ongoing efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, reflecting the wisdom and balanced approach of Jordan’s policies.
According to Jordan News Agency, Momani, during an interview on Jordan TV’s “Sixty Minutes” Show, stated that Jordan’s global positions are well-regarded and appreciated internationally. He also highlighted that the Prime Minister’s field visits are strategically planned and monitored, with periodic updates released every three months.
Momani expressed optimism about Jordan’s economic outlook, citing positive indicators such as increased growth rates, exports, foreign currency reserves, foreign investments, and a notable performance of the Amman Stock Exchange-levels not seen in over a decade.
He stressed the government’s commitment to advancing the Economic Modernization Vision, aiming to boost economic growth and job creation through investments. The minister recognized the private sector as a crucial partner in these efforts, emphasizing continuous collaboration to drive economic and development initiatives.
In its first year, the government has issued over 200 economic decisions to stimulate economic activity and facilitate access for citizens and investors, strengthening Jordan’s economic indicators. Momani also pointed to ongoing projects in water, energy, and transport, including the National Water Carrier project set to commence next year.
Significant progress has been made in public transport, with regular routes now connecting Karak, Irbid, and Jerash with Amman. The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is also expanding following the success of the Amman-Madaba route.
The government prioritizes enhancing health and education services, with multiple projects underway to establish or expand hospitals, health centers, and schools across various governorates. Momani noted the private sector’s social responsibility project will further support these governmental efforts.
On legislative matters, Momani highlighted the Prime Minister’s directives to bolster cooperation with the Lower House of Representatives, aiming to advance the Kingdom’s political modernization through comprehensive legislative and oversight frameworks.
