MoU Signed to Enhance Women’s Economic Empowerment.

Amman: The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) and SADAQA Foundation, a Jordanian NGO advocating for a friendlier workplace for women and families, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop sustainable cooperation and partnership mechanisms to achieve a supportive workplace for early childhood care. The agreement aims to empower working women and enhance their participation in the labor market, thereby strengthening the role of the working family and encouraging working mothers to maintain their jobs. According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU seeks to develop curricula and training programs related to the nursery sector, focusing on empowering female workers and managers in this field and enhancing their capabilities. The agreement outlines the provision of necessary support to improve women's economic opportunities by establishing home and institutional nurseries and training female workers in early childhood fields. Furthermore, the MoU aims to increase women's participation in the labor market by offering relevant training programs for babysitters and supporting the establishment of new nurseries. In collaboration with Jordanian universities, the two parties plan to update curricula, train students and alumni, and connect female graduates in early childhood specializations with available job opportunities. To achieve these objectives, partnerships with government agencies, civil society institutions, and the private sector will be initiated to employ female jobseekers. This collaboration is expected to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of female alumni, enabling them to establish their own projects. The VTC expressed its commitment to forming "fruitful" partnerships that contribute to empowering women to enter the labor market and meet its demands, ultimately fostering women's economic opportunities and supporting their ability to build a professional future.
