Amman: National for Employment and Training Company (NET) and the American company OpsHeaven Technologies (OHT) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to design and implement technical training programs focused on artificial intelligence. These programs aim to provide modern computer labs and practical training within a sophisticated environment.
According to Jordan News Agency, NET General Manager, Brig. Gen. Ashraf Mohammad Aleimat, stated that the agreement signifies a shift in the company's trajectory to align with global technological advancements. The initiative will introduce specialized AI training programs that meet the demands of local and regional markets.
Aleimat highlighted that partnering with OpsHeaven Technologies, a leading entity in the AI sector with a regional office in Amman, will create opportunities for Jordanian youth to develop skills and pursue future careers. OpsHeaven Technologies President, Dr. Hamza Alsarhan, emphasized the significance of collaborating with a national institution like NET, as it aligns with his company's commitment to enhancing Jordanian human capital for regional technological leadership.
Under the terms of the agreement, OpsHeaven Technologies will deliver training programs adhering to international standards and provide trainers and specialists. Meanwhile, NET will offer infrastructure, facilities, logistical support, and trainee recruitment. The initial phase is set to launch at the Center of Excellence in Mafraq governorate.
The memorandum is part of a national vision to connect vocational training with labor market needs through strategic partnerships with international institutions. This initiative supports the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
Dr. Alsarhan, a recognized expert in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, is an academic at George Washington University.
