Najaf Governor Youssef Kanawi revealed that more than 12 million visitors from the Arbaeen pilgrims arrived by land and air. Kanawi indicated in a joint press conference with officials of Al-Abbas Shrine and the security, municipal and health departments, that 12 million visitors entered the governorate, including more than 350 thousand visitors arriving and departing through Najaf International Airport, with a reverse transporting of two million and 400 visitors. Meanwhile, Ahmed Al-Qurashi, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Abbas Shrine, indicated that more than 4 million hospitality meals were distributed to the Arbaeen pilgrims, with the preparation of more than 20 thousand square meters of expansion areas and shading of 42 thousand square meters, and the opening of 7 medical detachments from which more than a quarter of a million visitors benefited.
