Amman: The management of the 24th National Olive Festival and Rural Products Exhibition confiscated olive oil deemed unfit for human consumption. The confiscation was carried out through the festival's oil testing laboratory and sensory evaluation teams, with the seized products handed over to the Food and Drug Administration for further legal action. According to Jordan News Agency, the confiscated quantities included 50 cans of 16 liters each, 61 cans of 8 liters each, 47 bottles of 3 liters each, and 3 bottles of 1 liter each. The management affirmed the Ministry of Agriculture's ongoing efforts to uphold the festival's reputation as a trusted source for citizens and visitors. It also highlighted that most olive oil test results confirmed the oil's classification as "extra virgin."
