The Higher Education Council (HEC) decided in its session held on Thursday, headed by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Wajih Owais, to standardize the university calendar in Jordanian higher education institutions for the next academic year 2022/2023.
In a press statement, the ministry’s media spokesperson, Mohannad Khatib, said the university year in public universities begins as of October 2, 2022, while the 1st semester’s teaching process is scheduled to kick off on October 9, 2022.
Meanwhile, academic year at private universities will start on October 9, whereas the 1st semester’s teaching activities will kick off on October 16, he pointed out
