Amman: The overall pass rate of Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, for the 2026 last summer session stood at 72.90%, Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) announced on Sunday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the BAU reported that a total of 2,605 students registered for the exam, with 2,591 students attending at least one paper, while 14 students were absent from all exams. The recent session encompassed 107 academic and applied specializations, managed by 52 university and intermediate university colleges.
The BAU further indicated that 1,899 students completed graduation requirements. Students who applied for score improvement achieved the highest success rate at 92.7%, compared to the regular students' rate of 79.1%. For last-chance test takers, the average success rate was 72.8%, whereas repeaters had a rate of 66.8%. The success rate for repeat students was noted at 61.4%.
