Jordan and Arab Nations Condemn Israel’s Stance on Trump’s Gaza Plan

Amman: The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Trkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt have collectively condemned Israel's refusal to implement President Trump's Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. This plan, backed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, aims to resolve the ongoing conflict and establish Palestinian statehood.

According to Jordan News Agency, the joint statement from these countries' foreign ministers labels Israel's stance as a "direct" rejection of the plan, which undermines international efforts to achieve lasting peace. The ministers assert that Israel's rejection places the responsibility for obstructing peace efforts on the Israeli government.

The Road Map, which has been accepted by Palestinian factions, marks a significant effort by mediators, including Egypt, Qatar, Trkiye, the USA, and others. It calls for the decommissioning of weapons, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and reconstruction of Gaza, aligning with the Comprehensive Plan's goals.

Rejecting this Road Map is seen as an "explicit" refusal to implement the Comprehensive Plan, threatening the progress made by President Trump's administration toward peace. The ministers emphasize the need for continued US involvement to ensure Israel's compliance and prevent further hindrance of the plan's execution.

The foreign ministers stress that Israel bears full responsibility for any negative outcomes resulting from its continued non-compliance, including potential deterioration of conditions in Gaza. They highlight the urgent need for immediate plan implementation to address humanitarian issues and promote stability and peace in the region.

The statement also rejects any actions undermining Palestinian statehood and calls for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital of a sovereign Palestinian state. The ministers urge support for the Board of Peace and emphasize the importance of its role in advancing President Trump's Comprehensive Plan.

The ministers further urge the Board of Peace, with US support, to take decisive actions to uphold the plan's integrity and prevent any obstruction by involved parties.
