The Palestinian presidency said the killings of three Palestinians, including two brothers, by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank on Tuesday are assassinations and new crimes in the ongoing war on the Palestinians.

Brothers Jawad and Zafer Rimawi, aged 21 and 22, were shot and killed by Israeli forces in the village of Kafr Ain, north of Ramallah and 44-year-old Mufeed Khalil was fatally shot in the head in Beit Ummar, near Hebron.

Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeineh said in a statement that Israel should be held fully responsible and accountable for these crimes, adding that the current Israeli government and incoming far-right coalition had declared a daily war on the Palestinian people.

He said the US administration also shares the responsibility for the Israeli atrocities, urging Washington to take serious action to “deter the state of occupation” from its actions that undermine the security of the entire region.

Rdeineh said the Palestinian leadership has the independent decision to safeguard the interests of its people, adding that “the war on the unarmed people and spilling their blood by successive Israeli governments would fail to bring the Palestinians to their knees or break their will, as in past decades.”
