Deir jarir: A Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli forces on Sunday evening in the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fathi Hamdan, head of the Deir Jarir village council, reported that the resident was killed during an attack carried out jointly by settlers and Israeli forces in the area. He stated that an armed group of settlers assaulted several Palestinian homes on the outskirts of the village, and Israeli soldiers stormed the scene to provide protection to the settlers.
Hamdan explained that settlers and soldiers opened fire on villagers who attempted to repel the raid, hitting one resident in the chest. The injured man was initially taken to an emergency clinic in the nearby town of Silwad. He was then transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he was pronounced dead.
