Amman, The Jordanian Parliament condemned the killing early Monday of three security officers who died in a raid on the hideout of a suspect in the killing of Col. Abdulrazaq Dalabeeh in the past few days.

The Senate expressed its “warm and sincere condolences” to His Majesty King Abdullah, the martyrs’ families, security bodies and all Jordanians, and wished the injured officers speedy recovery, vowing “this cowardly terrorist act by the murderers will not go unpunished and that our security forces and people will firmly respond to this crime.”

It called on Jordanians to rally behind their leadership and security forces “to deny the saboteurs, takfiris and murderers the opportunity to tamper with the country’s security and stability, spread sedition among our one people, and exploit the tough conditions we face to carry out their ugly designs.”

“The death of four sons of the country would only increase Jordanians’ resolve to fight all forces of evil, murderers, criminals and saboteurs,” it said, calling for striking with an iron fist on anyone trying to breach the rule of law, threaten the country and its people and carry arms against the state or attack military and security forces.

In a statement, the Lower House said the “vicious hands of treachery” will not break the will of Jordanians, and its people will continue to rally behind their leadership, army and security bodies that offered great sacrifices to defend the country’s security and stability.

The lawmakers called for dealing with full force with anyone who carries arms against the state, attacks security personnel or public and private property, blocks roads or terrorizes citizens.
