Petra: The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and UN Women Jordan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the economic empowerment of women and enhance social resilience within the Petra region. The agreement was formalized between Fatima Hilalat, PDTRA's Commissioner of Local and Environment Development, and Manal Benkirane, Deputy Representative of UN Women Jordan.

Hilalat highlighted the significance of the collaboration in facilitating these opportunities.
Benkirane emphasized the importance of advancing women's economic and social empowerment as essential elements for sustainable development and community stability. The MoU outlines plans for supporting development centers that serve as safe and inclusive environments for women.
