Work is underway to update projects of the Jordan Response Plan (JRP) for the Syrian crisis, but it all hinged on the response of donors, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation said on Monday.

However, the ministry told Petra it will keep the components of the JRP unchanged, including Host Communities Support, Refugee Support, Infrastructure and Institutional Capacity Building and the Response to Covid-19 distributed over 7 sectors: education, health, shelter, water and sewage, economic empowerment, general services, social protection and justice, in addition to a chapter related to treasury support.

Financing needed for the JRP in 2021 reached around $744 million, about 30.6 per cent of the total financing volume of $2.4 billion, the ministry noted.

The cabinet has endorsed the JRP for the Syrian crisis 2020-2022.
