Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan welcomed Polish President Andrzej Duda to Amman on Tuesday, where they engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including economy, diplomacy, culture, tourism, and vocational and technical education. The talks focused on strengthening ties between the two nations, with an emphasis on expanding investment opportunities. According to Jordan News Agency, the leaders explored ways to expand investment ties between businesses and entrepreneurs from both countries. They highlighted the potential of leveraging Jordan's free trade agreements, which offer access to global markets, in conjunction with Poland's industrial and technical expertise to forge mutually beneficial partnerships. Furthermore, Prime Minister Hassan outlined significant projects in Jordan that present substantial investment opportunities, specifically in the water, transport, and infrastructure sectors. These projects are anticipated to attract Polish investments, further bolst ering economic ties. The meeting also covered regional developments, emphasizing efforts to halt the ongoing Israeli conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. Both leaders stressed the importance of ensuring the continuous delivery of urgent aid to Gaza, highlighting the need for humanitarian support in the region. Additionally, Hassan and Duda underscored the significance of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to maintain its services for Palestinian refugees, in line with its United Nations mandate. Their discussions reaffirmed a commitment to fostering stability and peace in the region through collaborative efforts.
