Amman, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, Senior Adviser to the King for Religious and Cultural Affairs, Thursday received a delegation of religious figures and bishops of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the US on coexistence.

During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, Prince Ghazi conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II’s greetings to the gathering, noting the King’s commitment to supporting Christians as an integral part of the “social fabric” in the region.

The meeting focused on Jordan’s efforts to protect the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem and counter attempts to change its historical and legal status quo.

The gathering noted the “importance” of the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, praising the King’s promotion of peace and harmony and supporting the Christian steadfastness in occupied Jerusalem.
