Amman: HRH Prince Omar bin Faisal on Saturday sponsored a ceremony honoring and awarding supporters of the esports sector for 2025, organized by the Jordan Esports Federation (JEF) in appreciation of efforts made to support and develop this vital sector and enhance its presence at the local and regional levels.

According to Jordan News Agency, Prince Omar highlighted in his address during the ceremony that 2025 was a year filled with challenges and hard work, during which Jordan's champions emerged prominently and demonstrated the capabilities of Jordanian youth in esports. He attributed these successes to the continuous efforts of coaches, administrators, and the unwavering support of partners who played a crucial role in each achievement.

Prince Omar emphasized that the accomplishments were not coincidental but the outcome of cooperation, trust, and a genuine belief in the players' abilities, along with collective efforts within JEF's ecosystem. He expressed gratitude for the contributions leading to these achievements and hoped for further progress in the coming year, reaffirming the federation's commitment to advancing esports.

Additionally, Prince Omar bin Faisal's membership in the International Esports Federation exemplifies Jordan's representation in esports decision-making.

He expressed pride in the accomplishments of Jordanian players and national teams, who secured four medals in regional tournaments, and announced plans to expand esports' impact by establishing a specialized center with the University of Jordan and Zain to bolster Jordan's status as a regional hub in this field.
