Amman: Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein inaugurated the newly renovated gymnasium and a new classroom building at Princess Alia University College (PAUC), affiliated with Al-Balqa' Applied University (BAU). The renovation of the gymnasium was completed at a cost of JD280,000.
According to Jordan News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by BAU Chairman Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Ajlouni, who provided Her Royal Highness with a detailed briefing on the project's implementation phases. During her visit, Princess Alia toured various college facilities, inspecting several projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational infrastructure.
The Princess also unveiled a commemorative plaque for the new classroom building, which represents a substantial investment in the college's infrastructure, costing JD1,835,697. This facility is expected to contribute significantly to creating a modern and advanced learning environment for students.
In addition to these developments, additional construction work amounting to JD825,306 was carried out as part of the university's continuous efforts to upgrade its facilities. These improvements are in line with the university's aim to enhance its infrastructure and educational offerings.
Dr. Ajlouni highlighted that Princess Alia's visit underscores her support for the university's progress and her commitment to strengthening higher education institutions. He emphasized that the university remains committed to implementing development programs designed to modernize its academic and service facilities, thereby providing a conducive learning environment for students.
