Amman: The Public Service and Administration Commission (PSAC) on Wednesday organized the second event of the Corporate Culture Community in the Public Sector to examine outcomes and explore opportunities for improvement.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event was held in collaboration with the Management and Implementation Unit of the Public Sector Modernization Program at the Prime Ministry and the Governance Improvement Project (PARtner). The German International Cooperation (GIZ) organized the event, which was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Minister of State for Public Sector Development Badria Al-Balbisi and PSAC Chairman Fayez Al-Nahar were present at the event, which gathered 70 participants. The focus was on promoting excellence and innovation as essential elements for institutional competitiveness and sustainable success. The event emphasized creativity, foresight, initiative, empowerment, continuous learning, and sustainability as fundamental values that drive innovation.
Participants referenced global studies indicating that enhancing corporate culture can boost productivity by 27% and profitability by 21%, while also reducing absenteeism by 70%. The event showcased corporate culture indicators, evaluation mechanisms, and overall results, and it included a ceremony to honor participating change ambassadors.
PSAC highlighted that the first phase of the initiative involved assessments of applied practices that support corporate culture and identify development opportunities, aligning with the Kingdom's public sector modernization roadmap. This assessment encompassed 16 ministries and institutions, requiring 960 hours of fieldwork and interviews with approximately 1,280 employees and 150 leaders.
