Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Saturday issued a weather warning concerning a low-pressure system expected to bring rainy and windy conditions, alongside potential flash floods in certain areas.
According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD has urged the public to take extra precautions, advising individuals to avoid low-lying areas and valleys prone to flash floods. The PSD also recommended securing loose objects and advised motorists to drive cautiously on wet roads to prevent skidding.
The PSD emphasized the importance of safely using heating appliances, supervising children, regularly ventilating homes, and ensuring that portable heating devices are turned off before sleeping. Furthermore, the directorate assured that its crews are prepared to handle any emergencies and encouraged the public to stay updated with weather forecasts and adhere to safety guidelines.
