PSD Warns of Potential Weather Hazards Due to Instability

Amman: Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Saturday called on the public to take necessary precautions as the Kingdom is set to brace weather instability this afternoon.

According to Jordan News Agency, the expected weather may be accompanied by occasional rain showers and dust-raising winds, especially in the Kingdom's southern and eastern regions.

In a statement, the PSD also urged citizens to stay away from low-lying areas and valleys to avoid risk of flash floods and drive carefully on the slippery roads, cautioning of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust-raising winds, especially on highways.

The PSD affirmed its "full" readiness to deal with any emergency, urging citizens to monitor the weather conditions and adhere to instructions to ensure public safety, and call the emergency number (911) to request assistance.
