Amman: President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) Dr. Wijdan Abu Haija, engaged in discussions with Ireland's Ambassador, Marianne Bolger, to explore ways of enhancing joint cooperation with Irish universities in technological fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Abu Haija highlighted the university's progress and achievements, referencing the programs initiated in computer science, engineering, and business technology. These advancements were attributed to the guidance and support of Her Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees.
Dr. Abu Haija emphasized that Princess Sumaya's vision aims to build a generation skilled in technology, capable of addressing current challenges and creating solutions to meet sustainable development goals.
Ambassador Bolger expressed her admiration for PSUT's academic standards and programs, expressing a desire to enhance academic cooperation and facilitate exchanges of students and faculty with Irish universities, especially in information technology. She noted that this collaboration would contribute to developing technological and entrepreneurial capabilities while strengthening Jordanian-Irish relations.
