Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, emphasized the significant efforts undertaken by Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in challenging and dismantling the Israeli narrative to curtail support to Israel. Qadi highlighted the arduous political and diplomatic battles led by the King, which have been instrumental in this endeavor.
According to Jordan News Agency, Qadi praised the King's influential presence on the global stage, noting his leadership in spearheading Arab and international efforts to halt the Israeli war. He underscored that King Abdullah II was the sole Arab leader to engage with US President Donald Trump to address and find solutions for issues related to displacement.
Qadi further acknowledged the King's ability to evoke awareness and conscience through his numerous engagements at various levels, including international and parliamentary platforms. He emphasized that the King has been a steadfast advocate for the interests of Palestinian people and regional concerns, serving as a sincere and capable representative on the world stage.
In his inaugural address following his election as Speaker, Qadi outlined his priorities, aligning them with the national objectives set forth in the Speech from the Throne. He committed to making the Lower House a platform for truth and diligent work, representing the voice and concerns of Jordanian citizens.
Qadi pointed out the historic challenges and transformations Jordan is currently navigating, stressing the need to enhance the performance of the Lower House. He believes this is essential for ensuring the House can effectively contribute to the Kingdom's overarching interests.
Additionally, Qadi advocated for an "equal, participatory, and transparent" relationship between the House and the government. He called for joint coordination to better serve Jordan, its leadership, and its institutions, ensuring that actions are aligned with the nation's best interests.
