Amman: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty, on the sidelines of the Arab ministerial committee meeting tasked with mobilizing international action in response to illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem. The meeting was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Wednesday.
According to African Press Organization, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation relations between Qatar and Egypt, exploring ways to strengthen them, and addressing recent regional developments. The discussions particularly emphasized joint Arab efforts to address Israeli actions in occupied Jerusalem and diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing regional security and stability.
During the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of commitment to dialogue and diplomacy by all parties involved. He also underscored the significance of adhering to the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, preserve regional security, and maintain the progress made towards regional stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that contributes to sustainable peace in the region.
