Madaba: Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah hosted an Iftar banquet in Madaba, joining a group of women from across the governorate who have distinguished themselves in a variety of fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the Iftar, Her Majesty extended wishes for a blessed fast to those marking Ramadan and those observing Lent. She highlighted Madaba’s unique character, describing it as a model of diversity, authenticity, and beauty, with a rich history.
Queen Rania remarked on Madaba’s iconic mosaics, stating they represent not only the land’s history but also its current identity. She emphasized the influence of the governorate’s residents, noting contributions from men and women of different backgrounds to Madaba’s development.
The event was hosted at Prince Hashem Bin Abdullah II Youth City, with Madaba Governor Faisal Masaeed expressing gratitude to the Queen for uniting the local women during the holy month. Also in attendance was Salem Abu Qaoud, director of Prince Hashem Bin Abdullah II Youth City.
