RCJA urges media to expose Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians

Secretary-General of Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs (RCJA), Abdullah Kanaan, said the media's responsibility is "increasing," amid the challenges and conflicts that are ravaging the world and the Middle East region, especially the Israeli aggressive war on the people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon. In a statement on the occasion of the Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week, Kanaan said the media's professional duty in all its forms aims to convey the "voice of suffering and pain of the innocent Palestinian people to the free people around the world." Kanaan added that this action aims to intensify endeavors aimed to "quickly" rescue and provide relief to the Palestinian victims and stop the Israeli war and genocide "immediately." Kanaan also referred to the phenomenon of immoral and inhumane promotion of the false and fabricated Israeli-Zionist narrative in some Western media outlets, which are fundamentally biased with Israel. In this context, he urged the Arab, Islamic and international media to push the correct narrative in all languages, primarily English and Hebrew, to highlight hideousness of the Israeli crime of genocide, starvation and destruction for more than a year against the Palestinian people. Furthermore, he highlighted Jordan's role, under the King's leadership, which has the historical custodianship over Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites, supports Palestinian people and defends their rights and their free voice.
