Amman, Representative of the clothing, shoes, fabrics, and jewelry sector at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Asaad Al-Qawasmi, said the recent downpour at the beginning of the winter season raised demand for wintry attire, which contributes to the local market’s stability and supply of goods.

In a statement to “Petra” on Sunday, he said garment and footwear merchants have prepared for the 2022 winter season since the beginning of this month and imported wintry commodities from several countries, with various items that suit all tastes and ages.

Garment prices have a “stable” range near their seasonal rates, compared to previous years, he noted, expressing hope Jordanian traders will compensate losses incurred during the last summer and winter seasons, due to the decline in demand and liquidity shortage.
