Registration Opens for 18th Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon.

Aqaba: The Jordan Marathon Association, also known as Run Jordan, has officially opened registration for the 18th edition of the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon. The event is set to take place on Friday, December 6, in Aqaba, under the patronage of His Highness Prince Firas bin Ra'ad. According to Jordan News Agency, participants can register online via the association's website, www.RunJordan.com. Those preferring in-person registration can do so in Amman starting Wednesday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration in Aqaba is available at the office in Al-Thawra Al-Arabiyya Square from November 30 to December 5, during the same hours. The Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon is part of Run Jordan's ongoing efforts to promote running and raise awareness about its health benefits. The event also supports various charitable causes under the theme "Run for Noble Causes." Lina Al-Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, highlighted the association's commitment to fostering a sports culture and healthy living. She noted th e marathon's appeal to both local and international runners, providing visitors to Aqaba an opportunity to appreciate the city's beauty and boost sports tourism. Additionally, 20% of the registration fees will be donated to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization to aid Gaza, enhancing the event's humanitarian impact. This initiative highlights the race's role in combining sports with charitable efforts.
