Amman, Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced a community partnership with the SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, under which RJ will sponsor 5 families for a year as part of the airliner’s social responsibility and sustainability strategy.
RJ believes in this national non-profit society’s role and importance of supporting its humanitarian missions in providing orphaned child-based care, the RJ said in a statement.
RJ CEO, Samer Majali, expressed happiness for providing this support, which comes in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the airline’s establishment and reflects its mission to serve the Jordanian society.
Assistance would have a direct impact on making beneficiaries able to provide a decent life for households, meet their needs to cover their annual expenses and embody principle of equality, Majali added.
Meanwhile, RJ employees also presented in-kind gifts to children of SOS Villages in Amman on this occasion and advent of the New Year.
For her part, Director of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, Rana Zoubi, expressed pride in RJ’s support, noting the importance of joint cooperation with national institutions to achieve a societal impact on children.
